Event Background
This event was inspired and organized in partnership with Cory Shinohara, UNC Gymnastics alumna, whose vision, leadership, and extensive network within the UNC athletics community helped bring together an exceptional group of women athletes and professionals.
Through Cory's relationships and guidance, we have assembled a panel that reflects the power of mentorship, community, and the lifelong impact of athletics. The event is designed to help young female athletes understand not only the recruiting process, but also how sports can serve as a foundation for leadership, resilience, purpose, and future career success.
The conversation will highlight women whose journeys have taken them from high school athletics to Division I competition, professional sports, healthcare, law, business, and leadership roles.
