Mireia’s bio: Mireia Torelló is a scientist, innovator, and education entrepreneur passionate about building bridges between technology, sustainability, and human learning. She holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from James Cook University (Australia), an Executive MBA from IESE Business School (Spain), and completed the Venture Advancement Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Before co-founding Aikreate, Mireia led international research projects and secured competitive grants connecting science, data, and education. Her scientific background, combined with her experience in business and innovation, gives her a unique ability to translate complex technologies—like Artificial Intelligence—into accessible, ethical, and creative learning experiences.
As CEO, Mireia drives Aikreate’s global vision, partnerships, and educator engagement strategy. She has led collaborations with the Museum of Science, Boston, where Aikreate hosts interactive AI learning experiences for families and teachers during the Computer Science Education Weekend, and has represented Aikreate at major international events such as the Æthos Global Summit on Open Problems for AI, SXSW EDU 2025, and as part of the Leading Women in AI 2025 cohort @ ASU+GSV.
