Scott Helfgott

Scott Helfgott is President of Global Strategy Educational Consulting and an accomplished higher education leader, international education executive, and workshop facilitator with over 30 years of experience in academic innovation, program design, policy, and global learning. Formerly Vice President of Academic Affairs at a global education services company, he led university partnerships supporting more than 30,000 international students and created award-winning global citizenship and career-readiness programs.

A specialist in Design Thinking and Global Citizenship education, Mr. Helfgott has developed and facilitated innovation workshops for university faculty and students, high school learners, and corporate teams worldwide—including UC Berkeley’s Applied AI in Engineering Institute and Shorelight Education's Academic Directors’ Design Thinking Summit. His workshops foster creativity, collaboration, innovation, and human-centered problem solving for educators, students, and business leaders alike.

Mr. Helfgott has also designed interdisciplinary programs promoting empathy, ethics, and cultural fluency—most notably his Global Citizenship Course, endorsed by the UNESCO Center for Peace and the University for Peace in Costa Rica. His work integrates social-emotional learning, cross-cultural awareness, and intercultural communication to develop adaptive, tolerant, and globally engaged learners.

He holds a JD from the City University of New York School of Law, an MA in TESOL from The New School for Public Engagement, and a BA in Political Science from New York University.
